Honestly speaking, this is an excellent starter boom pole that will last you until you decide to get one with an internal cable or a longer/lighter one for much more money. It itself pretty light for its size and construction, and the knurled tension rings feel good in the hand, though they might be overbuilt if weight is your primary concern. The carrying bag is pretty cheap and won't provide much protection, and the sling kit seems like an afterthought. The included adapters look to be well machined and fit up nicely right out of the box. I didn't notice any slippage of the sections with the tension rings tightened down just past finger-tight, so that's good. The rings also didn't feel like they were grinding their threads, so the machining on those parts seems to be good as well.
