A useful tool to accommodate a camera/lens system that is long. I've also used it as a camera rig to attach a camera with lens and a recording monitor with big batteries.

If you search for nodal slides on the internet, you'll find these offered in a wide range of prices. The tool provides a very basic adjustment to help eliminate miss-aligned images when taking panoramas by identifying the center of your lens over the horizontal axis of your tripod, (that’s as good as I can explain it). It's a small problem that doesn't require an expensive fix. (I’ve hand-held my camera and taken panorama’s that turn out perfectly well when stitched together in LightRoom). Anyway, this product works as advertised. I can't image what slides costing into the $$$'s do that this doesn't. In any case I’m happy to add it to my kit for the few times that I’ll actually need to use it.
