NEEWER LS-51 18mm 2x Macro Probe Lens with 17mm Thread

This is a very solid build macro probe that can be used to point to where that difficult to reach by a cell phone, for example, very narrow gaps, behind leaves, or under the water. It is only used for cell phone. It has a full metal build and coated black. It feels solid and robust. There is a focus ring in the middle that you can fine tune it to focus on what you want to take photo. There is a ring of LED lights at the tip that can illuminate the object for photograph. There a power button to turn on and adjust the LED illumination. The macro probe comes with a mounting stand that can be used with a standard tripod that has a ¼ screw. In addition, it comes with a robust hard-shell case to protect the macro probe.

This 18mm 2x macro probe lens from brand NEEWER is unique, and I think there is only one other similar option out there designed for full-sized mirrorless cameras, at a substantially higher price point. This lens setup is probably the best choice for mobile macro photo or video recording with a phone right now, offering 2x magnification and a 17mm thread which is the mobile standard. It captures detailed shots of small objects, like jewelry or insects, and allows me to create really unique video footage as well. So far, image quality is crisp, with minimal distortion.I paired this lens with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I only wish I had ordered a camera cage or something with the option to attach lenses to it, back when I first got this phone, because finding a compatible case with a 17mm thread was definitely a challenge, but it was worth it for the stunning macro shots. But that is neither here nor there, since there are newer generations of iPhones and other mobile devices out, all with 17mm thread cages or cases, so that has nothing to do with the product in general. This is definitely fantastic for what it is, and if you need a unique lens like this for your mobile setup, then just get it. There are few others out there like it. 5 stars.

The pictures you see with my review is taken by my Z fold 5 with this Macro lens, which takes beautiful high resolution pictures. It takes less than 2 minutes to prepare your camera to take some amazing pictures from close distance. As you see, this lens has a super bright flashlight, and you can charge it with Type C and the cord is included.

Still figuring out how to use it, but you get really good close ups shots

i always wondered about the close up shots i see in ads (the one that camera appears inside the object and moves away), and finally i have done it myself.although it was hard for me (as i dont have the specific mobile cover) but i somehow managed to do it manually with a lot of tries after all.the lens works perfectly and water proof and has a set of LEDs that the intensity can be adjusted.overall i like the functionality that the lens provide

Love it. Telescoping capability wasn't immediately obvious (to me) but gave it a little tug and there it was. Nicely made, very helpful in capturing audio direct to camera.

I still can't believe this was available on Vine! Just to note, you do need to get the appropriate adapter to use this with your phone. Once you have the adapter, this lens opens up so many options for a photographer. You can get this probe lens into places that you would never be able to capture with your regular lens. The barrel is really long and slender and gets into places you just otherwise wouldn't be able to photograph. The field of view is excellent, and the LEDs ensure that you have the appropriate light levels. For me, this has opened up opportunities for underwater shots that I would not have been able to capture in the past. I'm so happy to have this lens. Great deal and Neewer makes great products.

This is a great lens that works well with my iphone. My only issue is that it does not come with tripod to focus it. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.

The NEEWER 18mm 2X Macro Probe Lens is an outstanding addition for anyone looking to enhance their mobile photography. The 2X magnification allows for incredibly detailed close-up shots, revealing intricate textures and fine details that are otherwise missed. The 17mm thread ensures a secure fit with compatible NEEWER phone cages and cases, making it versatile and easy to use with both iPhone and Samsung devices. The lens is well-constructed, delivering sharp, clear images with minimal distortion. The build quality feels robust and durable, and the lens is simple to attach and detach, adding convenience to your shooting process. This lens has significantly expanded my mobile photography capabilities, allowing me to capture stunning macro shots with ease.Overall, the NEEWER 18mm 2X Macro Probe Lens provides excellent performance and versatility for close-up photography. I’m giving it 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone seeking to take their mobile photography to the next level.
